I am a Newgrad registered nurse 5 months into my career and I’m ready to leave nursing. Every day I go into the hospital anxious about not having enough nurses on, knowing I will be responsible for 6 to 7 patient’s every shift. The attitude I get from experienced nurses is either  suck it up as it is “just the way it is” or “I know, it’s not right but nothing is changing anytime soon”. I am terrified of making a mistake and harming a patient due to the unsafe number of patients I have on a daily basis, the extreme stress I feel every single day and how burn’t out I feel and I’ve only been here for 5 months!
