The war in Gaza must end, with an enduring peace for all peoples in the region. 

Join union members and supporters in calling for an end to the conflict in Gaza and a vigil for the people who have already lost their lives to this conflict. 

Unions are calling for: 

1. The cessation of the war in Gaza. 

1. For food and aid to be immediately provided to the people of Gaza; and 

1. The immediate release of all hostages. 

Unions will be holding vigils on the 21st of August in Sydney, Wollongong and Newcastle. 

The vigil will hear from union speakers and conclude with time to reflect on the need for peace in around the world. 

Unions for Peace will also have a contingent at the Nationwide March for Palestine on Sunday, 24 August. Unions for Peace will be assembling at 12:45 near St James station, and is urging union members attending this event to march behind our banner.
