New Forms Of Bullying On Night Duty For Nurses

Lamp Editorial Team
|
November 15, 2019

Hi I’ve been a night duty nurse now for over 25 years when no one liked night duty. New form of bulling now is these TIRA s. and being forced to do Day duty ” because of the new roster system” we have NO full time staff But some new graduates will start soon.

I don’t know why post graduates won’t come out to the smaller bush hospitals ( other nurses either). Out here in our hospital the ED is never quite with more hands on than any major hospitals. Plus we have FLEC. AMA ESOP. EXTENDED SCOPE OF PRACTICE. which means you lear suturing plastering and more. Can’t do that in the city. Oh and of course you get to meet the locals. And there is always something happening. You get free parking. Most have a nurses home ( cheap board). And so much more I think country hospitals give you a great grounding as a nurse and country life is good for the soul

Oh and you don’t get to see the retrevial teams and their aircraft in the city either. That’s something magic
