Maria Anna Olsen has been acknowledged by the NSW Nurses and Midwives’ Association for her 60-year contribution to the nursing profession.
Olsen was nominated for an “Outstanding Professional Achievement Certificate” by her colleague Bernadette Bell.
Olsen commenced her nursing career as a registered nurse in 1960, and began working at Manning Base Hospital in Taree in 1989. She has worked as a registered nurse for Hunter New England Health since.
The NSW Nurses and Midwives’ Association recognises her contributions to nursing, and wishes her a happy retirement.
