This research is being conducted by Jasmine Ambrose (Bachelor of Psychological Science Honours student) and Professor Mitchell Byrne through Charles Darwin University.
The research is interested in understanding antibiotic use and stewardship of aged care workers.
The aim of the research is to gain an understanding about aged care workers own attitudes about assisting others with appropriate antibiotic usage in the aged care sector and how this potentially relates to the aged care workers’ personal antibiotic use.
The secondary aim is to provide aged care service providers with centre specific information about possible staff training needs, which may improve the health of the residents and enhance the centre’s capacity to meet aged care standards.
To research this area, we are seeking participation from aged care workers in Australia over the age of 18 (particularly those with roles involving antibiotics- nurses & carers).
Participation involves completion of an anonymous questionnaire.
