Diabetes is the fastest growing chronic condition in Australia; increasing at a faster rate than other chronic diseases such as heart disease and cancer. 1.8 million Australians are living with diabetes – someone is diagnosed with the condition every five minutes, which adds up to almost 300 people a day.
Every year, Diabetes NSW & ACT and Diabetes Queensland bring together current and future leaders in the field of diabetes to discuss the future of managing diabetes, preventing and treating complications, and clinical best practice.
With a focus on prevention, early detection, optimal treatment, and effective ongoing support, people living with diabetes can live a full and healthy life. This year’s Diabetes Update Day virtual conference will bring together frontline health care professionals to learn, build networks and discuss new ideas in an online forum.
