Family violence leave at Healthscope
I work at a private hospital run by Healthscope. Can I get any special leave to attend court about family violence directed towards me?
Clause 29(ii) of the Healthscope Group – NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives’ – Enterprise Agreement 2015–2019 sets out that an employee experiencing family and domestic violence will have access to up to five (5) days per year of paid leave. This can be used to attend legal proceedings, counselling, appointments with a medical or legal practitioner and relocation and safety activities directly associated with alleviating the effects of this form of violence. This entitlement does not accumulate from year to year.
