I am a MidStart student. Can I be redeployed to another non-maternity unit while on shift as a student midwife?

Postgraduate student midwives may be redeployed without notice to other areas of the hospital if activity in maternity services is low. 

Your facility has committed to providing you with the clinical experiences you need in order to complete your training. If you feel that these opportunities are not being provided, we encourage you to escalate your concerns to your assigned mentor and Clinical Midwifery Educator, as well as your University Program Convenor.
