Education
Public Education Day
Public Education Day lets us recognise educators, not only found in our classrooms, but in our hospitals, clinics, and community centres.
Thank you to nurse and midwife educators for sharing their wealth of experience with new generations of healthcare professionals and future proofing the system that we all rely so heavily on.
Educators equip new nurses and midwives with the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes to excel in their fields. They inspire, instil confidence, and promote lifelong learning, ensuring healthcare professionals are as ready as possible for the complexities and challenges of their jobs.
They manage this while balancing their clinical roles. With nursing and midwifery graduates higher than ever, NSW desperately needs to attract more experienced nurses and midwives, to help provide the necessary clinical education to the next generation, without burning out our most experienced nurses and midwives.
Nurses and midwives are constantly educating their patients on a huge array of health issues, ensuring patients have the best healthcare possible, even when they go home.
To all health educators, we extend our heartfelt thanks and will continue to advocate for workplace improvements.
