Settle for working a miracle every second day
I’m retired now, but I worked on the front line for forty years.
I want to say thank you to all the nurses and midwives, and I value your effort in very trying times. The most important thing to remember is to look after yourself. Remember your family is the most important thing to you. Sometimes you cannot work a miracle every day, only every second day.
This means that if you don’t look after yourself, no one else will.
Stay united and strong. People do care about you. Good luck everyone.
Safe staffing ratios are essential in ED, as they are everywhere.
