Can AI help with nursing assessments?
You are invited to participate in a research study of AI for hospital nurses.
Why: The purpose of this study is to see if providing nurses with AI can improve nursing assessments compared to standard practice.
You are:
- a registered nurse who has worked in Australian hospitals in the last two years (adult, non-critical units only);
- or a final year nursing student or graduate (2022 or later).
What: We will ask you to review and complete six hypothetical patient scenarios using an AI system.
When: The study is conducted entirely online, will take no longer than 45 minutes and can be done in your own time at your convenience.
Confidentiality: Any information that is obtained in connection with this study and that can be identified with you will remain confidential and will be disclosed only with your permission, except as required by law. You are free to accept or decline this invitation without prejudice to your relationship with Macquarie University or the investigators.
The first 50 participants who complete the study will be eligible to receive a $50 GiftPay egift card. To receive the egift card, you must genuinely attempt and complete the entire study.
