This dynamic one-day workshop will focus on the manual handling of people when the situation is ‘unexpected’.

The highlight of the day will be the opportunity to network with colleagues from various areas of health care and manual handling gurus with years of experience in this field.

The morning sessions will include presentations and panel discussions on:
• Medical emergencies
• Evacuation
• Post fall
• Challenging behaviours
• Managing patients with bariatric needs

Followed by an afternoon of hands-on practical sessions with:
• experts on slide sheet manoeuvres
• managing people with bariatric needs
• Compare the best equipment for each situation to see if it meets your organisation’s needs.
• Review the newest equipment from local companies and supplier.
